HOOOOLY CRAP
The slightest unwanted twitch of any muscle probably would have put the bullet in a different area code.
Yea, and I figure I'm doing good to stay in the killing zone at 100 yards when hunting. Sigh, a great shot I never will be.
Considered trying out for the sharp shooting team at one point years ago. Spent the day with them at the 400 yard range. Decided I really shouldn't. I could barely see the target, let alone discuss where I'd put my bullet on it.
Best I ever did was 40 out of 40 in basic. My drill was very impressed as only one other in my company did it.

dad was similar back in basic... made marksman the 1st time he ever shot a handgun...
recall him talking about how bad all the hunters shot lol... he'd never touched anything beyond a BB gun prior to basic

thank you for that
In reply to Kia_racer:
BAH!!! 39 out of 40 for me . . Fast Eddie (50 yards) got me. . . LOL!!
Props to the sniper. He is one with his weapon . . .
Not to take anything away from Cpl Harrison because those were both amazing shots, but this guy was perhaps the ultimate sniper and they called him White Death
"This is my weapon this is my gun this is for fighting this is for fun" I shot a 38 in Basic, since then I have been 39 or 40 each time. I just wish I could practice more.
UT is so much fun, I need to fire that up again one of these days.
Here's another Brit with a boom stick: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1273679/Gone-28-seconds-Rapid-sniper-takes-Taliban-soldiers-protect-British-patrol.html
Looks to be the same rifle. I think someone in the UK remembered how to make them, and someone in the UK remembered how to teach them.
