I spent a pleasant hour or so at love2xlr8.no/broch1.html
In reply to mattmacklind:
I don't think this qualifies as a canoe. It's a link to scanned copies of older American car brochures, advertisements, etc. I'm not aware of anything for sale at the site. Check it out mattmacklind, if you still think it's a canoe, let us know.
That site must have been mentioned on Jalopnik or something recently - it's been around for some time now, but all of the sudden in the last few days I've seen it mentioned on several boards. It is pretty good.
A couple other interesting sites are the Old Car Manual Project and the Old Car Brochure Project. http://www.tocmp.com/ and http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/
OK, I didn't follow the link because I saw "love2" in it. I missed the Xlr8 part and assumed it was one of those recent weird random posts with possibly innapprorpriate links. Sorry, my bad. I also didn't know canoe was for things for sale, I thought it referenced things that were totally out of place or "spammish".
"Canoe" is the unofficial way to indicate a spam post. Typically they're selling things, but sometimes they're phishing. They nearly always post (and are identified and summarily deactivated) within the first 3 days of registering. We deactivate them rather than delete so the same email address can't be used again.
This one doesn't appear to be a canoe, but the link isn't working for me either. M2 pilot has a good track record of genuine posts.
