Hoping for the best Capt! I plan to heed your sage advice this weekend. If things go to plan, part of this will be spent teaching my first born how not to destroy a clutch.

Don't worry, there will never be seeking a permanent solution regardless of how close to the end I come. I'm not a bad place medically as of now. Enough so that surgery is being debated, though I'm all for going through with it again. Pet scan this week, lead to brain mri, brain mri lead to questions regarding what are we really doing/ working towards at this point. As I originally said. Rough week. That being said I'm feeling well enough to hop online this evening and our border collie passed her therapy dog training, so she was able to pay me a visit and it sounds like I'll get some time at home soon. I can't thank this place enough for allowing me to be me and not a patient, I'll forever be in your debt and gratitude for that.

I don't know if this makes sense but I will offer it up.

I beat the big C back when I was in my late teens and this is the feeling I had going in for surgery.

You are in a heated race that you are winning but competitors are hot on your tail. You go through a twisty section of the track at absolute top speed while at the same time watching your competition in the mirror. As you come on to the next strait you hammer down and put just a little space between you and the car behind you. It is then that you realize that you have no idea what direction the next turn is going and you can not lift as you are the leader. You have been concentrating so intently on the here and now that you have completely forgot what is in front of you and no matter how hard you concentrate you just don't know.

This the feeling I had going in to surgery only times 1000. I will never forget it. About the scariest thing I have ever had to deal with.

I don't know if this makes sense but I wanted to share.

Hang in there Caption you can do this no matter what direction the turn is at the end of the next strait.

Pulling for you captain. My wife works in a large Atlanta hospital's bone marrow transplant unit, so she gets to see lots of hard times, all the time. I told her what you said in your first post above, and it's on the money. We're all pulling for you.

Didn't think I'd have time for anything more than an offroad rally this weekend, but I got in some good hang-out & drinking time at the finish too, so I did what you said

I'm actually working with ironing out a location that is a former golf course (closed more than 5 years ago) to host it under the NASA Rally Sport umbrella with a Rally Sprint to be held on the property on the same weekend. The location is less than 2 miles outside of the Baltimore beltway as well. Multiple lodging options are available within 5 miles, gas is less than 2 miles away and we'd have about 230 acres to play with on the course design side of things. The location being so close to a metro area opens up some potential local event sponsorship opportunities as well.

Your trunk looks exactly like the trunk on my e36 did after sliding the ass end into a rock hard snow bank doing, uh, "winter motorsports activities."

Good god, I think you've just become my personal hero.

All golf courses should be rallye stages.

Holy buckets Captain, you are a genius! There is an old golf course about 10 minutes south of me in Ann Arbor. Let the homework begin!
