Is there any home budget software that will handle itemized expenses easily? Like I don't have to manually type in each receipt?
I have previously used Mint. I like it in concept, but every time I log in, its unable to connect to one or more accounts and I'm just tired of it.
I was using Banktivity on my iPad, but my bank upgraded their system and it no longer links to my bank accounts.
But, the upgrade allows me to download my accounts to Excel and go from there. Not convenient, but it works.
Maybe GnuCash? That's what I try to recommend to Quickbooks victims.

Here are some people discussing how to do just such a thing with GnuCash

Doesn't look like anyone is having success :(
Its mind blowing that in this day & age there isn't a simple standard .csv file associated with every transaction that could be linked/sent to your CC company.
I use ynab. You need a budget.

Can you shed any details on how it handles itemizing? Do you need to manually enter each line from a receipt? Scan? etc.
I use BOOKKEEPER. Its a great app. Smells of weed sometimes but otherwise very user friendly.
In reply to ProDarwin:
It pulls in the receipts from your bank account. Then you can split into buckets.

It doesn't pull itemized receipts though, does it?
To clarify:
Not itemized:
Costco $109.72
Itemized:
Costco
Milk $3.99
Bread $2.70
Toilet paper $22.50
Dish detergent $10.75
Etc...
It doesn't do that but it is arranged to break types of purchases down. More for budgeting than itemizing...

No. You would need to divide up yourself. I'm not aware of a budgeting software that allows that sort of automatic functionality. All softwares pull info down from the bank but don't have the viability into each item.

You do not want to itemize to the individual item level. Your OCD will kill you and you will not have any friends.

Neat Desk's software will do what you want, provided you want to go that granular. For the most part anyway. The software was okay, not entirely intuitive and sometimes missed things on the scanned receipts but I assume that's just most scanning solutions.
I got tired of it and just sort of stopped using it. I still use it here and there but not nearly as often.
I'm currently having a bit of a back and forth with Mint because my credit union changed its banking software and they seem to be confused why they're getting a 503 when they try to pull info. God forbid they update the pointer to the correct URL I provided them.
