I guess having a full-time traveling sales job along with a family have kept me sheltered. Is anybody hitting this up?

From what I understand, it's one of those things where people are already claiming it's past it's prime before most people hear about it.
Someday I want to go to Burning Man just to see it. I have known about it for awhile but being on the other side of the country with limited money has kept me away thus far.
Never been, know folks that have. looks like fun if you are into doing alot of drugs and only remembering what happened from other peoples pictures. Still would be a spectacle to see once.
I've always wanted to experience burning man, but the fact I don't do drugs, I might not appreciate it

They've done worse

I watched a great documentary on it a while back on netflix. Don't know if it's still on there or not. I'd love to go, but I'm pretty sure I'd stick to booze and take a camera. I do enjoy crazy artsy people, and some of the stuff they covered in the docu was amazing. Some of it was drugged up hack work. Some of it might have been both.
Music festivals have gotten too commercial and too about "the experience" IE getting loaded and fondling some girl... I'd probably pass.

Yeah, that is cool. I think it's just neat to see the creativity.

I don't think Burning Man is a music festival at all. It's an art festival really, preferably flammable art.
And that experience sounds pretty good to me but my wife might take issue with it. ;-)

Burning Man? It's been around for 10-15 years, if not longer.
There is a guy over on the Sportsmobileforum.com goes by the name Zaskoda that has chronicled his visits to Burning man in his 4wd camper van at least once. It looks like a hoot but I don't see myself going cross country to do it unless I am already close by.
Found the Build thread and page where he posts the link to his pics. The van itself is a homebuilt camper and worth the look too.
