Has anyone ever tried to repair a leaking butane lighter? I have a vintage S.T. Dupone lighter that I just filled up and it is leaking even with the lid closed. The good news is that besides the leak it works fine

I tried searching on Google but it seems that everyone just sends it out to get repaired (cost ~$90) but it just seems to need new seals.

I would check with a local jewelery store as lots carry (or used to when smoking was still kewl) higher end lighters. Good luck.

I quit 5.5 years ago, but I still carry a zippo. Actually just started carrying it, again.

Yea that would be the easy way to save money huh

I don't really smoke much though, just a couple cigarettes or a pipe at night.
