I was out pursuing a ratty group of Porsche 356's a while back and I stumbled across this scene:

The caboose had been there for years, behind an old railroad station that had been converted to a restaurant. The restaurant burned to the ground, but the caboose survived and apparently, moved on.
I thought this was going to be a J-Lo thread.

In reply to Dr. Hess:
A thread featuring pics of J-Lo would use up too much bandwidth.
A thread with pics of J-Lo and Kim KardA$$ian would crash the interwebs.

I thought it was going to be a thread about Glen Danzing walking out of a show in Minneapolis because the venue sucked, according to him.
They did something like that here a few years ago. Old store that dealt with hobbies closed. They had a little "mule" steam engine that the USN had. A year later the HD dealer down the street bought it and moved it about a mile.

When I was a kid I went to an auction where I guy had one of those small locomotives. Only he had it setup on a track & running around his yard.

I designed a restaurant once where the seating was in 2 refurbished dining cars. They had a little steam loco from a historic local line out front, and the two dining cars, and a station-like building I did to house the bar, kitchen, and some other spaces. It was kind of fun to design, though the client was kind of a dick and I hear that the food is not so hot.

I know of two old cabooses near here. One is a railroad memorabilia shop with limited hours and by appointment. The other is at a residence. I talked with the guy not long after he set up the track section for it to sit on. He was going to use it as a room to set up his model trains and get them out of his wife's way in the house.
I guess it would be neat to have one set up as a workshop.

Close to me, can't say I've ever stayed there. They aren't that great in the winter since they have no insulation and the heating systems are a bit of an add-on.
Nice 0-4-0T mad-machine. I like industrial locos and 'critters'. When I win the lottery, I'll put in a loop and run something like this:

That's the one in Strasburg, right? We've taken a couple family vacations around there.
In the unlikely event I ever become rich I would love to buy an old passenger car for my own private use. For a fee, Amtrak will hitch them to the rear of one of their trains.

This area has changed a lot in the 35+ years since I lived there.
Cool place.
