Well, in his defense, that gas line is supposed to be buried deep enough a posthole digger couldn't get down to it.

The 42" REX pipeline currently being installed through southern Ohio only gets 36" of cover.

A typical right-of-way is 75 feet for temporary workspace and 50 feet for permanent right-of-way. The pipe will have 3 feet of cover. A 42-inch-diameter high-strength steel is being used for the pipeline.
