6 hours is way too short an incubation period. It may well have been norovirus, but you didn't pick it up in the BMW.

Yeah, that seems to be what I've seen from some other research, too. From what I heard the SHOT show the week before I was in Vegas had a noro bug sweep through and wreck a bunch of innards, and the whole town has been battling different strains since the beginning of December. In fact when I googled "norovirus" at one point "norovirus las vegas" was one of the autofills.
So prime suspect now switches from Jason Cammisa to the raw oysters (that may be the most awesome sentence I've ever written). Or one of the 500 or so people I brushed against in the airport or hotel lobby or the escalator handrail or the elevator buttons or the credit cards I handed back and forth or the stuff the BMW rep handed me or that dead seagull I ate that I found in the parking lot.
I bet being a virologist is way less exciting than Dustin Hoffman and Kevin Spacey led us to believe.
At any rate, I'm feeling way better at this point. Not "sick" anymore, just a bit run over. Getting fluids and nutrients back in balance. My wife is a little nervous, but she also kind of has the attitude that "If I get this, I won't be mad at you per se, but I will just E36 M3 the bed and make you clean it up." and I think I'm probably okay with that.

Matt R. Is and old friend of mine who used to hoon about in a broken-down E30 with the rest of us weekend race car driver wannabes before BMW gave him a real job hanging out with reporters, stars, race car drivers... and now sick people.
He is good people if you get a chance to pour a few beers into him and talk SE30 or airplanes.
