The shift bushing on my Audi 200 is shot, and like most things, the OEM bushing is NLA. I've heard that some guys make the bushing out of nylon, and I was able to get an STL file to do it, but I don't have access to a 3D printer.
Anyone able to make the part for me? I know this might be kind of a big ask, so name your price. Im even willing to buy multiple of that makes it more worthwhile.
Thanks!

Email me the file.  I can't print in nylon, but I do have a lathe that I might be able to do something with.

PMs through GRM usually reach me, so just send one and I'll respond

Looks like it didn't go through, but I'll try from my personal email

This might be challenging, especially with that lip.  If anyone wants an idea of what it is, here are some quick pics

Can you get a cross section of that?

I really cant make up what I am looking at. Is it like a ball/socket joint type thing?

I have a printer I am learning one and would be up for helping keep an Audi 200 going. I have never printed nylon before but willing to try.  If you can send me a link to the filament you want to use and some printer settings to try out I'll give it a shot.  Obviously there is a bit of lead time this way. -Matt

I have access to cf reinforced nylon printing if necessary.

My local makerspace getting a CF nylon capable printer has been a game changer.

Yup.  Ball socket.  Cura doesn't really support cross sections, but I can later.

cant you just do a bushing and then use a proper size ball end end mill to make the socket?

or grind the right profile on a piece of hss tool bit.

I guess I should've checked back in on this thread last night. My bad! I'll send the STL file around to those interested.

I'm not exactly sure what filaments others have used in the past, other than 'nylon'.

Thanks again for all the interest in this.

Have you checked Shapeways? They can print for you in a pretty wide range of materials and it's on demand.

All said, that's an easy print. Shouldn't be hard for whoever does it.

Yep, what I imagined.

I was going to offer to CNC the part, but I don't have a lollipop endmill that would allow me to machine the pocket at the moment. I will have to pass.
