ohh snap.
That's funny, I was just thinking on hearing that story that it sounded a bit familiar to that Tawana Brawley deal back in 1987:
I hear that Andy Griffith, Opie and the Fonz are backing Obama. That could prove to be very influential here in the "swing state" of NC
I hear that a vote for McCain is a vote for The Man. The Man wants to keep you down!
If you vote for Obama, the Socialist-Terrorists win.
One of my professors said he left Belgium to come to America to avoid being taxed half of his income with his six figure income as a Dr., college professor, and head of department. He says if Obama gets elected he's moving to Canadiapolis or Meheco, possibly Oz Land.
Well, at least the air is "free".................

You are letting the politics of it get to you too much. Instead you should offer to check their pressures and fill them to the correct PSI, most people don't check and do have low tire pressure, in the end we will have safer roads and maybe use a little less fuel and tires if more people are driving around with correct tire pressure.
DirtyBird222 wrote: Sooooo at Honda we always get people just coming in to get the free Honda air that we offer. Everyone knows that it's by far the most superior air you can put in your tires. Lately though we've been getting a lot of people who are coming in saying "Obama says that you get better MPGs if you raise your tire pressure! Can you raise them up?????" I always just say no. Honda recommends that I only put in the correct PSI recommended for this car. I'm sure it would ruin my CSEs but since these people don't get repair orders written up, they just come in for tire pressure, I don't have to worry. Anyone else think this is ridiculous? Yes I understand you can get better MPGs from this but really, just become some dirty politician says soo the whole world wants to do it? I also don't appreciate the fact that these people try and tell me why I should vote for Obama.
Instead of getting annoyed about it, use it as a sales oppotunity. Check the mileage and get their next oil change, major service or minor service scheduled before they leave.

umm I said I tell the people I will only fill it to the correct PSI and nothing more.
If people come there just for free air usually they aren't going to buy anything else. They a) do it themselves b) come back later for their service or c) like the free Honda air because it's better than Goodyear, firestone, etc air.

Even if Texans' right to use deadly force wasn't somewhat expansive (it can be used to protect property in certain circumstances), the crime would most likely be charged as aggravated assault. It's easier to prove the complete crime (the aggravated assault) rather than the inchoate crime (the attempted murder). In any case, I'm pretty sure both carry the same punishment in Texas.
You were right. This guy was charged with Felonious Assault in Ohio. He thought it might be funny to fire a few warning shots at some teenagers who were stealing his McCain sign. He said he didn't mean to hit them. Now he is up on charges for a felony. If he had hit him in the head or in the heart instead of the arm he might be up on charges for even more.

Pretty damn funny.
At least they wern't stealin his free Obama, Honda air!
One of the best parts of the Tire Rack, Street Survial School? They give the teens a new digital , pressure gauge. And the first session teaches them to look up the correct pressure and make sure their tires are properly inflated.
And then check thier tires as they warm up thoughout the day.
I haven't seen Obama OR Honda donating air, yet.

Most politicians are full of enough hot air, you'd think one of them would donate some of it.

If you watched Boston Legal last night you saw an hour long free ad for the Obamination.
I have filed complaints with the ABC, the local affiliate and the FCC.
I used to love Boston Legal because while they have always been blatantly Democratic in views they have used such wacky story lines that you could laugh at it. Last night they crossed a line.
For the record I'd have been just as upset if they'd done a Republican or Ron Paul bit. OK, maybe not Ron Paul because like I say they usually go so far off base it becomes funny and let's face it, Ron Paul's funny.

And much like the military, you're a day late and a dollar short:

um, care to explain for those of us that watched football instead?
At the end of each show they have a scene with Denny and the other guy sittin' on the balcony talking guy stuff. Well at least stuff with a unique guy angle.
This episode they added a scene like that at the beginning which is very unusual and then replaced the wrap up scene that would usually be run where they talk about the case they just won/lost with an out and out full blown ad for Obama. Equal time?
How do I know the beginning scene was added and the end scene replaced? I have a daughter in the industry who called me ahead of time and warned me that they were doing something they shouldn't be doing. She didn't know what, only that the word had gotten out that they might get into some serious trouble over what they'd done.
Now had they done it with a candidate, fictional or otherwise, who wasn't really in the running I think people would have laughed, but this was a hardcore attempt to enlist the last minute undecideds.

I totally agree, but what is ABC or the FCC going to do?
Nothing. The mainstream media has always supported Obama more than McCain.
There's also a saying: it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission.
FWIW, Garry Trudeau's next full week of 'Doonesbury' strips are written anticipating an Obama win. He hasn't drawn any to use if McCain wins. http://www.eandppub.com/2008/10/doonesbury-pres.html

I don't know what you're talking about.. McCain had a whole cartoon show for like forever on about him and this He- Man guy.
I'm totally writing the FCC

I realize you're now beginning your difficult transition into a long 4 years of having your panties in a bunch, but if the direction of bias made a difference, 24 would have been cancelled 5 minutes into the first episode.

Even the AP has admitted that they have run more positive Obama stories than positive McCain so by bringing up '24' obviously you have confused the 'news' with 'entertainment'. Come to think of it, there's not much of a line between the two any more.
I have said it before and I'll say it again: no matter who won the Presidency, the real problem of Congress still has not been fixed meaning all we got was a new figurehead.
