With most email programs, emails that are deleted go into a temporary holding pattern before being completely gone (just for this such reason.)
That holding area is a file in your email system known as either "trash" or "deleted" files. Often this can be found on the left side of your screen - the screen where you see all your emails listed.

Yeah, that one has saved my butt a few times.

Yahoo mail deletes these on a whim (must be run my a woman). I can't see where to change the settings.

Gmail hides the trash but I found it. Thanks for prodding me to look a little deeper.

BTW, the offer stands, I'll buy just about any full size, real, and authentic Porsche 930 for $1000 !
