I agree. Most of that vintage usually is quite attractive.

I have a weird fetish for vintage horse trailers. And old trucks. This is a disturbingly accurate and personal zeitgeist.

I'd like to buy that and use it as a camper.

You guys have never seen a Streamliner Horse Truck?

Well I live in an area surrounding a horse race track so it would make sense that I've seen one.

FWIW when I was trailer shopping a horse trailer came up real cheap. I was advised against it because after years of horse pooping and leaking on the floor, the metal bits may not be structurally sound.

Bring an ice pick when you go to look at it.

Nope. It's a 4x4 alright. The director / producer/ somebody blew it on the details.

I HATE that Viagra commercial. It drives me up a wall every time I see it. That moron is driving a 4wd truck. He could easily drive around the mud, or stop to lock the hubs, or approach it with enough speed to carry him through. But no he just parks in the middle and still doesn't have sense enough to try the 4wd. For his sheer stupidity he must have had his man card revoked a long time ago. It's no wonder his penis doesn't work.

Dan, most folks just replace the floor – most of 'em are wood.

Wood. Supported by metal.

When in doubt, check it out.

When I was growing up, my family bred racehorses and I have fond memories of riding up and down the east coast in the back of a truck exactly like that. The front section was a tack room and we would ride up in the loft looking out the front window. The memories of cleaning out the truck were not so fond. It would make a cool camper/car hauler conversion but I would be worried about corrosion in the frame. Racehorse urine is pretty corrosive.

Years ago, we saw a trick roper at a rodeo. Toward the end, he was standing in the saddle running a big loop up and down around the horse, as the cowdog circled in the opposite direction. Great display - then the horse let go with a few gallons. Didn't move an inch, just let it flow. Greatest rodeo scene I've ever witnessed!

I've always had visions of pulling a chopped horse trailer behind a low '30s sedan hot rod. Camper or bike trailer, who cares?

You could get a couple of those sawed-off miniature horses and jump on the kid's birthday circuit.
