So two weeks ago the radiator hose on my Durango blew and fried the motor.
Today the water pump on the Jeep decided to seize and crack in half. Luckily it threw the belt, so I knew something was up and was able to shut it down. Unfortunately I was on my way to work.

So now I'm trying to get someone to get me and figure out how to get this back to the house.
Luckily this is an easy repair, but between the Durango, car shopping, and now this, I'm ready to throw in the towel.
I had a similar snap not long ago, one of the vehicles in question was a Durango as well. I got myself into a car payment due to lack of time to search. I often regret it although, I do love the car I purchased and will keep it for far longer then any of my beaters.
Keep your head up, it will pass.
$150/mo payment on my 40+ mpg Mirage means not having to worry about getting to work. That's not a lot of $ for the piece of mind.

Well unfortunately the new car is for my wife.
I feel you, since selling the Answer the truck has developed fuel issues, the mister two makes terrible yet un-diagnosed noises from the left rear, I've still been unable to source the parts I need to finish my Subaru TT swap, and my search for a real car has failed miserably.

Wanna buy a Golf TDI? Not Challenge priced, but close.
That sucks. This is the sort of thing I'm worried about and that has me looking at new econoboxes.

Thanks, but unfortunately I have only enough money for a down payment on the car for the wife.
If the Lincoln were running at 100% I'd lend it to you...that or the Crown Vic and I'd drive the Lincoln.
It's about a solid 75%-80% right now. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/laugh-18.png)
