This year's Father's Day gift included an SR71 shirt (wore out the old one) and THIS:
after the kids went to bed, MrsP3PPY got an hour or so of regret as I watched the day by day highlights of the race. "Can't we just look up the winner??" "No! That would ruin the surprise!"
Spoiler alert!
Per and the Audi do not win :(
I want to see the SR shirt too
I have a few car related tees, a couple Blipshift, a few from SCCA/TNIA
and then one 60 series LC tee I got off amazon
90% of my shirts are car or submarine related.
Without exception mine have been gifts and they tend to revolve around the family [car] names or my Z4. Or the Lamborghini Countach. Or the Blackbird, as below
I wish blipshifts shirts fit better; there is "I have discernible pecs" fitment and "burlap sack" fitment with nothing between. I used to buy all my shirts from 8380 labs and traks clothing but neither have put out new designs in years.
I've considered printing shirts of my own, but the equipment is a non-starter here. I suppose I could submit designs to other sites, although I have no idea who does good quality.
it's crazy- I had a Ferrari shirt (an exception to the rules mentioned above) that lasted exactly one washing. And then there's my TNIA shirt that still looks okay after 4 years.
In reply to P3PPY :
We've had very good luck with http://brokenarrowwear.com. Very good print quality, even when we've pushed them on some unusual requests. They won't resell for you, but if you need something printed they're my go-to. Blipshift does take submissions. I used to print shirts at home when I was in high school, but they were a little crude compared to what you can get from a real shop.
Flyin' Miata does a monthly shirt modeled after the Blipshift concept. They're released on the second Tuesday of the month and the ordering period is a week long. Tends to be Miata-centric :)
