My British car club hosts a charity valve cover race every summer. I've been building the trophies for several years now and I'm looking for ideas. I've built basic trophies out of welded up car parts. I've done glass beer mugs that I etched with my sandblaster. I've built chess sets from engine parts. Clocks from car parts, etc.
I'm trying to keep a British car theme going but I'm looking for ideas.
Get some nice jars, sandblast the inside and label "Lucas wire harness smoke" and on the flip side label what the award is for (or etch and paint)
British car theme you say? Some model British car on a stand, with a "puddle" painted in gloss black on the upper surface of the stand below, a Lexan backboard sand-etched to resemble the magic smoke rising from the hood, and maybe put some LED headlights in the model powered by a hidden solar panel
