... Rhino Liner that is.

I bought a truck with a recent Rhino Liner put in. Its not "shiny" like a brand new liner, indicating that it has maybe seen some sun. Its kinda flat finish now.

Is there some product I should be using periodically to keep it protected from UV? I'm sure Rhino offers it as a $150 service, but is there something I should be putting on it?

I didn't think the bed liner stuff was supposed to be shiny.

They missed the opportunity to call it Rhino Liner Shiner.

I have Rhino liner in the bed of my pickup and it still looks like new after many years. On the other hand, I don't leave it parked out in the sun all that much (plus, your sunlight is a lot more intense in Texas compared to what we get in Minnesota.) Why not just call the local Rhino liner shop and ask them? If nothing else, you can use your favorite vinyl protectant on it, although something like Armor All will make it slippery, if you're worried about your loads sliding around.

One other thought - are you sure it's Rhino liner and not some other brand? their product is pretty shiny but some of the others, like Line-X, are quite dull to start with.

Its definitely Rhino, complete with a "Rhino Liner of Austin" plaque embedded in it.

I did call Rhino and they offer a $78 UV protectant package, but they have to clean it first with a special chemical and that's another $21.
