Better than sinking, getting stranded adrift or getting the runs! Where was the port of departure?

Well, if you live, you get better stories from near disasters than uneventful trips.

Crap, that blows. Which ship? We've done two Carnival cruises in the last two years, loved both of them, but 3 weeks ago we were delayed 10 hours getting back due to Fog causing Tampa port authority to close the port for 12 hours, not their fault though.

Look on the bright side, it's your honeymoon so you don't need to leave the bedroom, doesn't matter where you are.

Just grab the junkiest car you can scrounge up and set out for a 5 hr drive to the coolest destination you can think of in that distance. Bring plenty of tools and a fat stack of cash you saved not going on a cruise and let the adventure begin.

I did this with current GF a cpl months ago. It was terrifying and hilarious to toss the valet the keys to a car he's not sure will make it around the building.

My guess is the Dream, which is currently in the caribbean and having passengers flown back home due to propulsion issues...

That sucks bud. My best advice is to call the other cruise lines with your story, and I'll bet someone gives you deep discounts on a short notice sale.

Ah so you were on that boat...are they going to put you on another cruise? If not there are some good suggestions here, you're already packed I guess so you could buy tickets to anywhere and continue.

Yeah just be happy you weren't stuck on the boat somewhere without power.

I would hop on a plane to San Juan or Cancun, jetblue has good flights from MCO.

My gosh. I mean, I've been on 2 carnival cruises and both of them were fun and enjoyable... but with the recent trend in fecal control issues, I'm definitely not going to consider them for my next one.

Why does every cruise ship disaster ultimately involve E36 M3 on the floor?

Sounds like you'd love the BABE rally. Our final hotel in New Orleans always has valet parking, there have been a few years when they've just ridden in the passenger seat to direct us where to park because they couldn't even figure out how to drive our heaps ;)

For the OP, check out vacationstogo.com (not a canoe) it has a last minute cruise options at deep discounts if they are trying to fill space on a boat. We've used it a few times and got balcony suites for the price of inside rooms.

The really bad disaster with a recent Carnival cruise left E36 M3 on the roof and floating throughout the ship...

And there's another...

It sucks, but based on recent events, it may be a good thing. I hope you can plan something else quickly.

I have never heard of this BABE rally I found the site and it appears to be the last running this year. How many times have you done it?

Shouldn't the honeymoon be spent in bed for the most part? Go find a resort in Florida, grab a bottle of booze, and hit the sheets.

Millenium Cruises are also quite good. I can't believe that someone doesn't have an open room for you, ask about the suites on another Carnival ship. They are often open, usually reserved for VIP and corporate users.

Adapt and overcome. This cruise was not the only way to have a honeymoon.

Right now, with the countdown to your wedding, let others take care of it for you. They can, and will if you let them.

Will it be the honeymoon you'd planned? No. But it sure can be memorable and wonderful, regardless of the way it's changed.

All of them! It's an addiction for me that I will sorely miss. Even blew off my wedding anniversary the first 4 years for it.

There's a thread over on the main forum about it to continue discussion. Some others here have been on the rally as well.

Thanks guys. We are already planning some stuff out. Something that might include SEBRING The only problem is that the refund is going to take 2-3 weeks. But I am on the phone with my credit card company right now to see what we can do.
