My daughter turned 16 and needs to learn to drive. Like any cool, hip kid, she was immediately drawn to the Kia Rondo. (did you know you can still buy them new in Canada?) It has seen 90,000 hard miles, so I thought it was time for a refreshening to remove some of the funk and dog hair. The local CarSense (kinda like CarMax) had signs for a detailing service, and they offer dent removal.

That made sense to me...if you deal in used cars, you would be good at removing grime and making them look new again. So I dropped some coin and told them to do their magic. Wow! They shampooed the thing for an entire day, and somehow removed dirt that I assumed was permanent. Old crusty salt deposits, grease, dog hair, things that are cast off from a 3 year old...everything came out. It looks new again, and the dents are gone. With some paint touch-up and a good polish, it would look new again! (The budget didn't cover that, but I will throw some wax on it.)

Of course, some credit goes to the awesomeness and durability of the Kia Rondo, but I was impressed with what actually cleaning your interior can do to a car. Heck, I might vacuum the Ford!

I had much the same experience with having the Prius detailed at a local place, minus the dent-pulling. The before/after pictures should still be up in the thread on it- it really was AMAZING what they were able to do in cleaning the interior.
