The sodium silicate used is the same stuff that you dump into the coolant to "fix" leaking head gaskets. Once exposed to temps of around 210F, water molecules are driven from the solution creating a glass like compound that melts above 1500F. You can imagine what that does to the crank ...

I saw a "Southern" market 2 door slant six 2000 ish Dodge Ramcharger type vehicle in Mexia, Texas a while back. It was kind of neat, it had a 95^ Ram nose and a boxy HACKED looking rear clip with the scariest side facing rear seats I have ever seen. Mexican tags and all.
