You're pretty indignant for no reason, huh OP?
Did you not read the reason as to why I'm not doing it? I also said I'm waiting for my fine. I know I should have done it ,but I refuse to take E36 M3 from some half ass government worker that they picked up off the unemployment line and gave a plastic name tag too. Who happened to see this opportunity to go on a berkeleying power trip. (When I was going to answer the questions) . This is more of a "is this D-bag going to follow through or not" situation.
As for the government knowing where I am. Believe me they know exactly where I am.They get my estimated taxes every three months. I have no guns here and don't wear a tin foil hat.
As a matter of fact I didn't live here on or before April 1, 2010. I have no doubt I will eventually fill it out, but not until I talk to the D-bags supervisor.

of people. Sent it in. Guy came to the house. Number of people, now please leave.
If it makes everyone feel better I've been counted three times. I filled out my forms and was interviewed on two other occasions

I've been counted three times as well. Once in my dorm room, once at home. Then I moved into my apartment to find it there too!
it's been a while since i jotted myself as the second member of the household, but I did put in that I'm Irish. wasn't a spot for that, but there seemed to be a spot for just about every other ethnicity you can think of. OP, you're kinda cutting your nose off to spite your face - but there's no way some unemployable peckerhead should talk to you like that I'll grant you. but, you did get off lightly...

So you are going to flaunt the Consitution, and waste good govenment money for a personal issue? really?
BTW, just because you pay taxes- that does not meet the requirement laid out in the Consitution for a Census. Why people don't get that is beyond me. The requirement is a actual head count every 10 years. Not an estimation, one where we think we know how many people live where based on some implied info, but an actual head count.
But in the mean time, I do hope you don't complain about govenment spending in the future, since you are wasting money (even if it's a small amount) for a rather trivial PERSONAL issue.
Or, how can I put this succicntly... Why do you hate the US?
Hey did you ever think maybe this "power-tripping government worker" was just trying to do his job, and was just trying to warn you that if you don't fill out the form you could be subject to a fine, rather than saying "very well, have a nice day" and mailing you a fine when he gets back to the office? Are you sure he's really being a douchebag?
Have you seen this particular worker since the first incident, or do you have beef with all of them now because one of them pissed you off?
Edit: Oh I see you already told us about that:

the first one that showed up just pissed me off so no one gets one.
Who's being the douchebag here, really?
Just think - as taxpayers we have to pay an army of census workers because some people are too lazy/paranoid/indignant/whatever to fill out a short form. I hope these same people never complain about taxes or government spending.
Yes, but the OP clearly stated he wanted to pay the fine, so he will actually help pay for these government workers. Unless he doesn't pay the fine, then he is just wasting our (and his) money.
Pay the fine. You have to fill out the form anyway.
What you pay in a fine, I spend on beer or cars. You won.

You guys made me feel like an idiot so I called and did it. The guy said that "the fines didn't happen" Whatever that means but I did it. I'm counted as of 12:46 on 8/12/2010. There ya go. Can we all be friends again?

It was really just a test to see if you could handle the pressure. Nobody actually fills out those forms.

I was one of those unemployable losers last spring when the land survey was conducted (Architecture has been a pretty rough field to find employment in for the past couple years). Ran into a few people with attitudes like yours, and I could never figure out how it served their interests. Based on the command of grammar displayed in your posts, I can almost guarantee that unless you have a military service history, you personally would not have been qualified enough to get one of those jobs. I got perfect scores on their tests, and I didn't even get hired until the second round (I didn't get the bonus points for military service or physical disabilities).

It's some puzzling, militia-esque paranoia over NOTHING.
I sent mine in late, so a dude interviewed me. He was downright apologetic.
I got a phone call because I apparently am too dumb to correctly answer how many people live in my house and how many of those people are Mexican. Oops.
