On a SRT8 Jeep they were pretty bad-ass...
On the Nissan Rouge Krom, not so much.
I like them on the Mini Cooper...
But on a Corolla, they kinda lose something.
What's your fave?

I have to say that gaping maw looks pretty good.
Most of the imagines for center exit exhaust on the google machine are terrible. Case in point
It looks like the Neon took a dump.

Except that they kept the thing from being able to tow, which is half the reason for owning an SUV in the first place.
Every time I see one of those Krom-edition Nissans, I think of this guy.
(Yes, I know the proper spelling is Crom, but whatever. )

personally i wouldnt be buying a srt8 jeep to tow, its not what the srt package was made for. just like you dont buy a cts-v for mileage, thats what the cts is for.

This looks better:
Black tips would probably look best and considerably more subtle than the "look at me I've got four exhaust tips" crap...
'90s awesomeness:

McLaren P1 flame thrower:
The P1 exhaust looks like some exotic engine chamber on a futuristic spacecraft:
And the Lamborghini Veneno, just for the sheer bat-E36 M3 craziness:

Well then... why not just get a car? The SRT package is just that, a package. They put it on 300s and Chargers and Challengers, too. A JGC SRT is still a JGC first. An SUV. Being able to tow something with a high-performance SUV just makes it more useful. Like the Trailblazer SS, Cayenne, and pretty much every other performance-oriented SUV.
My point being that they made a fashion/styling choice which negatively impacted the usefulness of the vehicle. IMO, that's a bad choice. Function over fashion, always.

One would think so. But take a look at the trucks and SUVs out there. Less than half have a hitch I bet.

But that's YOUR choice. It appears that lots of folks liked the function AND fashion the SRT package brought more than the trailer hitch. They could have decided on towing against going fast, but decided they wanted to go fast. Or maybe they wanted the AWD function enough to go with the SUV over one of the SRT cars. Chrysler offered it, folks bought it.
