Any GRMers know of a public range in central Massachusetts?
I haven't been out shooting in several years, and am looking for any suggestions for public range.
My father is up from Florida and brought along his pistol to go shooting. We'd be looking to use up a couple boxes of .38s.
I'm in Holden, MA (and No, I do not know Dick Hurts from Holden ), but would be willing to drive 30-60 minutes if a range has evening hours during the week.
Thanks for any suggestions.

I am a member of Mass firearms school in Holliston, indoor range and we shoot all pistol sizes, 12g shotgun with 00 buck and pistol cal rifles. I can bring a guest and if your father comes, its 15$ for him. ear and eye protection is supplied also
You always aim for central mass when shooting
I didn't think you could shoot guns in Massachussetts.
I used to go to the Smith and Wesson Sport Shooting Center in Springfield all the time. They run a pretty tight ship, but you can usually try any Smith and Wesson or Walther handgun for cheap and you don't have to clean them when you're done! I haven't been there in a few years though.
Bonus: It's right near the old Indian Motorcycle factory.

TJBell,
Thank you for the info and the offer.
My dad is currently on PEI, so I'll know more about what his travel plans will be mid next week.

I wouldn't advertise your father's luggage. Mass firearm laws are iffy.
Depends on where you are in Mass, but I used to live near here and it's a great facility.

Woody, they shut down the S&W range to the public as far as I know. Something about 3 guys who committed a murder or shooting learned how to use their guns at the range there. They dont allow people with certain criminal records to be there but i guess they never actually did any background check.
I also thought MA doesnt recognize another other states licence to carry?
At first glance I read the thread title as mass shooting.

Surprisingly they aren't as restrictive as one would expect, but there are gray areas that may be open to interpretation:
MGL non resident transport
To further reduce risk I am taking care of storage and I have a Mass LTC.
