Central NC RallyX & RallyX School

Just thought I would spread the word about THSCC's upcoming RallyX school and RallyX on March 14 & 15 out at Orange County Speedway.

Orange County Speedway lets us run in their overflow parking area, which is pretty large. This is one of my favorite courses to rallycross, as the field holds up very well to the abuse in wet or dry conditions, offering good, consistant traction and great course layout options.

If you are thinking about rallycrossing this year and would like some instruction and some extra seat time, this is a great opportunity. We will have instructors on hand to help you fine tune your skills, and lots of seat time during the school. Take this practice into the next day with our 2nd points rally cross of the 2009 season. Don't wait until the last minute - preregister now.

Just an update for anyone who was planning on joining us for this event. The school has been cancelled due to not enough people signed up to participate, however the RallyX event on Sunday is still a go!

I've never tried rallyX but damn it looks like fun.

Yep. I am a RallyX VP this year.

Track looks like fun too. Perhaps I will get to try it someday.

If any of you guys have an amphibious vehicle you have been wanting to rallyX, this will be the weekend for you!

Well, we had to make the decision to cancel this event due to the soupy conditions in the field.

At this point we do not have a "rain date" but I'll keep you posted!
