Just that. Any favorites? Jackets, pants, gloves, socks etc. Stuff that you wouldn't mind getting dirty under a car.
To start I just bought a C'man 'chore coat' from Seers (mispelled to keep out canoes hopefully) for $37.09 after tax and discounts. Gotta drive out to the 'burbs tomorrow to get it with in-car pick-up (yes that makes me feel lazy). I'll give a brief review of it after a few days. ![smiley smiley](https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/static/ckeditor/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/regular_smile.png)
I occasionally get winter stuff from Tractor Supply, Schmidt brand I think. It's like Carhartt, but cheaper. I'm also a fan of fleece lined jeans that I get at our local Meijer store for $20-25. My problem is finding gloves and boots to keep my extremities warm since I have some circulation issues.

I like the Cold Weather Work Gloves from the Hammer Store for about $13/pair. They take away a lot of dexterity, but they do a pretty good job of insulating.
There's a place by us called Bargain Hunt that is one of those overstock/clearance places. They usually have workwear in stock for really really cheap. I got some Carhart insulated overalls for $25 last year and those things are great for working outside in the cold. Ollie's usually has them in stock as well, but they're a little more expensive there.
I know this sounds cheesy, but there are these "as seen on TV" socks that I think they call "hot socks". My kid got me a pair for Christmas and they're supposed to have aluminum woven into the fabric. Amazingly enough, they actually work really well.
For doing anything in the cold, I like polypropylene long underwear. It really holds the heat in - way better than the old woven cotton style that we had when we were kids.
Yep. Good lead. Looking at a Berne from TS under $40 before tax and shipping. Chore coat also. Never came across that term before tonight. Not from around these parts. ![smiley smiley](https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/static/ckeditor/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/regular_smile.png)
Berne apparel coveralls, carhart coat, cheap hoody, thinsulate mossy oak gloves and insulated boots are pretty much my go too winter gear. The only time ive ever been uncomfortable in this was changing hydraulic lines on a bulldozer in a snowy mud mix!
One more vote for tractor supply. I love that store. Once it starts to warm up go check their clearance section. You can get next winters clothes for next to nothing. Last years i bought flannel shirts for like $4 a piece.

Spent too long in the cold. I'll pay through the nose for a proper set of winter gear. That being said, Duluth trading lined firehouse pants are the jam.

I have a pair of fleece lined work pants from Walmart. Cheap and effective. I need at least one more pair. If it's really cold, I'll wear thermal tights for cycling under them. For tops, layers: undershirt, long sleeve t-shirt, lined hoodie. Ski socks and insulated boots. Mechanix gloves with flock-lined latex gloves as a liner. This set-up will generally keep me warm for most tasks.

I've purchased from them. Quick shipping and everything was clean and as promised.

There is nothing as good as an insulated jumpsuit, regardless of the price.
Ive worn one for many years. Replaces tons of coats, sweaters, etc, etc. Keeps my clothes protected from damage from work and they last longer. Keeps me warmer without drafts. Much easier to work in.
Its even reasonable to lay directly on a cold concrete floor if dressed in an insulated jumpsuit.
Resale shops. I got a pair of insulated Duluth Trading Co cargo pants for $7.00. These retail for over $80.

Sierra Trading Post. I got a pair of insulated Carhartt overalls for $60. Factory seconds, I can't tell why.

Beat me to it! They even opened a store here in town (haven’t been there yet).
Otherwise I buy my stuff second hand. Although I do have a work coat from TSC as Mr. Deadskunk described- it has worn amazingly well.

Curse Walt's for not offering overseas shipping... Time to investigate parcel forwarding services.
