If you want to waste some time, Dinosaur Dracula is a fun blog for 80s & 90s nostalgia--toys, TV, food, drink, etc. NMNA, but I do enjoy reading it. If Surge coming back makes you happy, you'll probably dig it.

Folks have been demanding that make a comeback for 10+ years now. Why won't Pepsi take a hint?
Until Max Headroom is selling me P-P-PEPSI at top volume, Im not getting excited
And whatever happened to the noid?

Are you me? It seemed like a good idea to stay up all night before the trip to Cedar Point to ride roller coasters at 14. It was NOT! No sleep, nearly lethal doses of caffeine and roller coasters are.....just bad.

I know what happened. He turned into a NES game!
And yes, I have it.

It existed as a short lived energy drink, I briefly considered getting some of the "new old stock" I found for a silly amount of money last year when SWMBO & I went to a Halloween party as Fry and Leela, I made a Slurm Koozie for my PBR instead.
mmmm....Jolt Cola---- all the sugar and twice the caffeine! IIRC it tasted almost exactly like RC Cola. Although to be fair--- I think that was the 80s not 90s.

Wait. Orbitz was not successful? Maybe people just don't like balls in their mouth?

Indeed, it was.
Back in the day, I knew people who regularly drank Jolt-n-Jack. That's some crazy drunk right there. Of course, I would never do that.

The story of the end for The Noid:
http://www.fastcodesign.com/3032911/kidnapping-death-pizza-how-dominos-lost-its-mascot
'On January 30, 1989, a 22-year-old man named Kenneth Lamar Noid walked into a Domino's Pizza in Atlanta, Georgia, with a .357 magnum revolver and took two employees hostages. After a five-hour standoff during which Noid demanded $100,000 in ransom money, the employees in question escaped. But the damage to the Noid brand was done: not only was the headline too good to ignore ("Domino's Hostages Couldn't Avoid the Noid this Time") but it turned out that Kenneth Lamar Noid actually believed he was the Noid--or, at least, the Noid's original inspiration.
A paranoid schizophrenic, Noid believed that Domino's Pizza founder Tom Monaghan had created the "Avoid the Noid" campaign specifically to persecute him. Sadly, the incident sounded the death knell for both Noids. Unable to shake his belief that Domino's had created the Noid campaign to ridicule him, Noid spent three months in a mental institution, and eventually committed suicide in 1995. As for the Claymation demon that drove him to his death, save a brief appearance in a Facebook game in 2011 to celebrate his 25th birthday, the Noid hasn't been seen since.'
