Has anyone tried this:
I still drink fresca from time to time. In college it always bothered my housemates that I bought the pop no one would steal. That pop was Fresca.
Jello gelatin pops? All win AFAIK!

I didnt hate pepsi blue, it was kinda good actually... but I really liked the song that accompanied the marketing campaign for it

If we're throwing 80's references in for beverages, I'm still waiting for this comeback...
Which will quickly be followed up by Pepsi with:
For the record, if I take the Pepsi challenge, I'll chose Coke 103 times out of 100.

On a scale of 1 to 10, that joke was hilarious!

Yes, they sell it at the CVS by my work. Tried the cream soda, wasnt hateful, but its got NOTHING on IBC cream soda. the Shaq stuff just tastes like cheap soda.
Ditchdigger wrote: That is the one I remember most. Every once in a while I will taste something that still reminds me of it.
I never need to see the again. My dad had a 7up route and that didn't sell so we got to drink it at home. Would it have killed people to give up cream soda for a month or two?

I don't know about that, but I loved Vault. I knew what fast food places still had it after it was out of stores.
Anyone remember Josta? I worked at a Taco Bell when it came out, and they tested it on us. It was not good.

I have no idea what this drink is, but it looks a bit like Edward Snowden on one can.
In reply to T.J.:
Hahahaha you are absolutely right!
Further research into the OK Soda mythos indicates that they only test marketed it, and it never saw a national release. Boston was one of the test markets. I remember there being an OK Soda machine on the sidewalk randomly near the surf/skate shop I used to frequent in Hull, MA. It just appeared one day.
It tasted a lot like when you go to a soda fountain in a fast food restaurant or convenience store and shoot a little of each drink in the cup. It was awesome.

My daughters call that a "suicide". Apparently that's the term the young people use these days.

Why yes. Yes they did. It lasted a while. As far as surge being back you can get it right now on Amazon.
OK must have been tested in Minneapolis too- I drank a E36 M3pile of it as a kid and called 1800 I feel OK about a billion times hoping to hear my review on the line.

I called it that too.

They called it a "graveyard" 'round these parts in the early 80's.

Try doing that at the bar with all the beers on tap.
My old watering hole had a "99 Beers" club and if you drank all the beers on the list, you would get a plaque on the wall with a quote on it. Your last beer on the list is the "Bartender's Choice", and that's usually him playing "suicide" with the beer taps. I prefer the soda version better.

I remember going into a soda fountain 50 years ago and having a suicide, so the term has been around for a while.

Yep that was a graveyard here as well. In this town there are two old time burger places where you can still get the old time mixed fountain drinks and some new ones.

I learned it from my mom, she said they actually had it on the menu at the pool where she worked. That was in rural Indiana in the 70's.

The Midwest was still calling it that in the 90's when I would do that as a kid.
