I thought a Chinese company owned Volvo now too... Does BMW stand for "Beijing Motor Works" yet?

Doesnt China have laws that companies form outside their country need a Chinese parent/partner company to sell items/cars in their borders? I would suspect a lot of those car companies actually sell that we can already purchase. BAW made the chinese version of the jeep cherokee until 2005.

Maybe. The Chinese companies that aren't affiliated with (or used to be affiliated with) outside companies are notorious for making knock-offs.

In the plant where I work we make VVT sprockets for one of the Chinese auto manufacturers.

Is this some sort of bizarro world, where Made in USA is stamped on the Chinese-manufactured vehicles?
