Is complete. Except for a handful of items, I purchased everything today. Damn I love Amazon Prime!
Amazon came to our rescue in Canada. That's where my family is, and instead of spending three digits on shipping toys and gifts to the kids we ended up shopping on Amazon.ca. Free fast shipping and they even giftwrapped the presents for us. No border hassles bringing the stuff into Canada either. It's a bit less personal, yes. But when you're a 5-year-old boy who just got a walkie-talkie for Christmas from your cool uncle in Colorado, you don't care if it was drop-shipped or not!
Thanks Bezos, you helped a bunch.
I start tomorrow.
Baubles, vacuum and she wanted that mixer accessory. A bottle of wine and let her have her way with me.
It's Christmas!
(Ladies, you know I'm kidding , right?)
I totally gave up on being a non-consumer. Numbnut-ette was dying for an American Girl doll, so I used that excuse to buy Numbnut #1 (9) a Traxxas Slash. For twice the money. Maybe a little more than that. I swear it's for him.

I got DT&B jr one for xmas too. Got it from the "damaged box" sale at the LA Autoshow, don't think I saved that much and he was there so he knows what he's getting, oh well. It's the only gift I've purchased so far. Tomorrow and Saturday will be when I get to everyone else's gifts.

Amen! Ordered half my presents in five minutes from the dinner table. The wife does most of the kiddie shopping and running around to stores. I like click and ship
So close. So very close. I paid some pretty ridiculous prices for 2 day shipping today. I need to pick up a portable scanner for mama on xmas eve. That should be fun.
By the way, don't walk into a CUSTOM picture framing shop in the next few days and say "WHADDAYA MEAN I CANT HAVE IT BY KRISSMUSS!?!?"

Got mine from Amazon for ~$211, but then had to buy the charger and two batteries for another 60 or so. It's the 1/10th 2wd. He thinks he's getting some more lego. This should blow his berkeleying mind.

Badass man. Nice work.
To take my mind off how incomplete my shopping is (mostly), the resurrection of a fun tradition this year; when my sister and I were old enough to sort it out without getting too frustrated, our folks started putting a "hint" gift under the tree, with the first step of a scavenger hunt type arrangement eventually resulting in finding the "big" gift of the year...
My sister decided to start doing that for my nieces this year. That should be fun
I'm pissed at UPS. I ordered some stuff from Amazon sunday night. I have Amazon Prime so I get the two day shipping free.
My package still isn't here.
I have to drive past a huge shopping complex to get to work, and the holiday traffic alone was enough to justify Amazon Prime. I love it. Some family members did not get what they want because it did not qualify for Prime, how's that for a reflection on modern society?

That "Prime Eligible" logo is very big in my purchasing decisions.

I'm a godless heathen, but we still have that big fat elf stop by the house.

Yeah your boy is gonna lose his E36 M3 when he opens it. We were watching the Traxxas guys launch the cars off ramps at the autoshow, neither of us have any experience with RC cars aside from the chintzy dept store stuff, I'll prob steal it from him when he's not looking or when he's doing chores. Maybe I'll give him more chores

He berkeleyin' a well better!! We've been pretty sparing in his presents in the past, not wanting to spoil the guy, but he's got a pretty badass lego collection. Time to bring that E36 M3 to life! I don't know dick squat about R/C either, but I figured from my own experience as a kid with the sears special, that getting him something worth a E36 M3 would make it actually fun, instead of some delayed heartbreak when the thing finally broke.
