Seeing as the murder songs thread is going so well and some have declared Christmas carols are enough to encite murder, I thought it wouldld be appropriate to start a thread for all those non traditional Christmas songs that help get us through the Holidays.
Still only acceptable 12/23-12/27, but they help.

Die Toten Hosen/Die Roten Rosen, particularly Auld Lang Syne.
7 holiday seasons of chorus from middle school through college at 4 months each and going into my 10th in retail has left me with a strong aversion to almost all Christmas music. Civilized words cannot express my abhorrence of Wham!, Last Christmas, and every cover of that song. The only solace I get is finding humor in that they wrote a Taylor Swift song several years before she was even born.

Sorry, I'm more of a traditionalist. Besides being a Christmas nut...I've got one of those mega displays outside, I listen to all kinds of Christmas music. I like some of the funny stuff, like Straight No Chaser or some other stuff, but not into the alternative, heavy metal or other stuff. Speaking of, about time for me to head home from work and turn on the music in the car.
I am not a christmas guy. Not my thing. As far as the music goes? Eh... If it were any good we would listen to it year round.

I can take some Christmas songs and some i'd be happy if I never heard again. I wish people would write some original Christmas songs and stop recording versions of the same 6-8 songs over and over again.
