I have to laugh when I cruise CL and other sites for my next failing project.

I just came across a Chevy pickup described as a 1987 Costume Deluxe. I once saw an ad in New Hampshire for a 1974 VW Common Gear (think about it... they're both pronounced the same way up there)

Part of me thinks, "you OWN the car, can't you check the spelling since its written on the vehicle in about 134 places?" The other part of me thinks, "thank you for reminding me that I spell gooder than most folks."

So lets post them here for all to make fun of. Find your Cameros, your trucks with Tonto Covers on the bed, and your Elderbrock carberaters.

A quick look this morning revealed these gems:

2000 CHEV COROLA = TOYOYA - $2000. Nowhere in the ad does he use the word "Prism", which is what he's selling. "FONE" calls only, please.

1974 Nova 4x4 with Wench and Sunroof - $7000. Interesting blend of Nova body on a K5 Blazer chassis. Unfortunately, no pictures of the wench.

Peugeot gets butchered pretty damn well, more often than its spelled correctly. have an easier time finding them by searching through all cars under 4 grand. Searching for "505" or "504" etc has about a 50% success rate, because people will put the model # name right next to (no spaces) either peugeot or "sti" or "diesel" or whatever the specific trim of the car is.

no misspelling here, but i just now came across it and thought it was funny, cuz the text description made me do a double-take, then i rushed through the pics and saw "it" http://newjersey.craigslist.org/cto/2928121870.html

OHMS,

gotta admit that is an "unusual" car. Is that really supposed to be a supercharger? I'm also "dubious" about a car that has a tan interior, but a BLACK dashboard and brown steering column. I once owned a LeMans with a tan vinyl/cloth interior, the whole interior was tan. And the underside of the hood should be "body color" not black. If it wasn't for those "red flags" (and the rusty engine components) it might almost be worth going to look at.

From the ad:

It comes with 2 headlights, and 1 tail light.

When that is a highlight and the best you can say about your project car, that's pretty rough.

You'll need to log in to post.
