My friends and I are trying to educate another friend on good older action movies. So far on the list we have; Dirty Harry, Godfather, Top Gun, Scarface, The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, The Untouchables, Dr No, The Great Train Robbery, Dirty Dozen, The Great Escape, Blade Runner, The French Connection, Road Warrior, Clear and Present Danger, Con Air.
Any to add?
Ronin, Terminator 1 & 2, The Predator, True Lies (<-- hell, I could go on with the classic Arnie camp), Enemy of the State, Who Am I?, most James Bond flicks except the ones that sucked...

Aside from Dr.No, other Bond films that didn't suck include: Goldfinger and From Russia with Love.
Oh, and add 'Heat'.
Hot Fuzz? Sure it's more comedy but the action scenes are good.

I saw Quantum Solace the other night, just a coinkydink that an innocent girl ends up dead on Bond's bed as in Goldfinger. This one slathered in crude oil.
