Have a 10 y/o Deflecta-Shield diamond plate aluminum truck tool box, uncoated, called Brite finish. Mostly dull and oxidized on top of the lid. Looking to clean it back to bright for cheap... meaning I really don't wanna spend another nickel on it so I'd prolly be using stuff off my shelf.... citric cleaners, wheel cleaners etc. I have some old wool bonnets I could polish it out w/ compound but nothing gonna be too labor intensive here... be listing on CL for about $75.

Anything in a spray n rinse that'll make it shine decently w/o polishing? It's only gotta be shiny for a week or two until it sells.

TIA

Polishing is the only thing that'll bring any shine back.

Pretty sure citrus cleaner will dull the heck out of the finish.

D'oh! Missed that part...

I thought he wanted to get it done in less than five minutes.

I was hoping for some grassroots solution like mixing Kool-Aid powder and toilet bowl cleaner for a cheap show quality finish.

Guess it'll hafta be compound and bonnet.

It's goin' on CL anyway.... I'll ask $80, they'll offer $30.
