Any of you other old bmx guys find it weird and cool that the Club Home Boy founder and BMXA photog is now a Golden Globe winner?
(For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, Spike Jonze just won a Golden Globe for the movie "Her")

Last time I saw him was in '88 out in the woods at our local trails "Sunnyside" at a photoshoot with the Skull Skates crew as an entourage.
I will always be excited about anything that dude is doing.

I wore the buckwheat shirt in 86.
I have Club Homeboy as the background on my phone.

I had that shirt and a sticker in the back window of my D50.
Somewhere I have copies of Homeboy and Dirt, his other magazine projects. Yep, good for him.
Anyone know what happened to the Vision VW bus covered with stickers?
Know ~nothing~ about BMX but a buddy of mine had a similar T shirt only without the 'Club Homeboy' logo etc. and I thought it was going to get us killed in a pool hall outside of Hopkins SC.

Me too. I also had the "Man Scowling" shirt.
Somewhere in my Mom's basement is an old Haro Flo Panel number plate with a stickers from that era on it, including a Buckwheat sticker.
Mom hated when I wore that shirt. Which made me love it.
