BMC is proud to be supporting the Coatesville Vintage Grand Prix for their 4th annual vintage racing event on Saturday, 21 September 2019.  This is the only vintage racing run on a real street course in the US.  Racecars and motorcycles from 1970 and before are eligible, and the event usually attracts a variety of exciting and historic vehicles.  The course is run on a 2.2-mile closed street loop through downtown Coatesville, PA.

I will be running the timing, and DD#1 will be helping out or flagging at a corner station.  Some great cars show up here - come on out and watch, free of charge.

Bringing a few people, looks like a great time.

Was planning on doing some housework. We may have to push that to Sunday. Thanks for the heads up!

If anybody comes out, I expect to be in the RV near the start / finish.  Drop by and say hello.

Cars should start running at 8:30-9:00a and end at 3:30p.

Darn, I wish you had stopped by the start / finish area and looked me up.  I got to meet Rob Mopar in person; it would have been nice to meet you too.

Surprisingly enough, this event has lots of support from the City.  As long as nothing terrible happens, it seems like it will continue.

That '66 GT350 was my buddy Paul Alderman.  He, and especially his father George Alderman, were pro-am racers for a long time.  They run an automotive machine shop and are / were Caterham dealers.

I was pretty busy running timing and couldn't stray much from the start / finish area, but I took a few pictures.
