I believe the GRM folks have a good relationship with the Coker folks, so I hope they don't mind me posting up some pics from today's cruise-in. This is becoming a pretty big regional event, though today's weather forecast kept a lot of people home.

The show attracts all kinds of cars, but I mainly take pictures to share with my dad, so the pics are focused mostly on 50s stuff. I know that's not the primary interest here, but I figured some of you might still enjoy them.

The 57 is mine--4.6 DOHC, 5-speed, etc. The fastback next to it was really nice and had a 351W.

The '55 Ford had a 3x2 Y-block mated to a 5-speed manual.

This is my friend's Ranch Wagon--3x2 312, 4-speed auto, Thunderbird/500 fins (wagons got smaller fins)--super nice car. It's for sale, if you're interested.

Don't see many Stovebolt Six cars as nice as this one.

This 58 Ford has a Mark 8 DOHC (and transmission, I'd wager) in it.

Very cool.  Thanks for sharing!  Is it just the car show, or is the Coker tire event similar to Good Guys or others where there may be an autox, or other dynamic event in addition to the show itself?

Just a car show--they close down some public streets and have one big parking lot on the side, but it's not a venue where anything like an autocross is going to work. The first pic is in that large parking lot--there are concrete medians and trees all over.

Love that LTD (isn't that post-Fairmont?) wagon with Coyote swap... Dang.

Thank you. The giant hood kind of hides the Mustang behind it, and that was a really nice car, so I wanted to add a pic from the other side:

And one more car, because fastback Mustangs are cool.

Some very nice cars, but those wagon wheels on the '60 Chevy are ridiculous.

You'll need to log in to post.
