And now they're remaking Kickboxer using Van Damme and Bautista.
Below there be spoilers about T3.
I'll admit to liking the end of T3. I thought the shot of the ICBMS passing each other in flight and striking their targets was actually pretty striking. I also like the idea that Judgment Day is inevitable and only a few dates and details change.
Didn't care for Salvation. I wish Terminator: SCC got more of a chance.
I'm sure I'll see this new one at some point.
To be honest, I've still not actually sat down and watched T3. T1 was revolutionary IMO for it's time. T2 was really good, but a bit cheesy. T3......? Salvation a nice continuation of the theme.

Same here. That show was pretty good. And it ended on a huge cliffhanger.

WHAT. THE. HECK?
I don't know who or what you are, but I think we can safely rule out human male.
I liked t1, t2, and t3....I need to go watch salvation and will definitely watch this. No film snob here.
I had some neighbors that were in film school. I went over to a party of theirs one time and someone said "it was pure literature on the screen" referring to what ever flavor of the week was going around film school at the time. I tried chugging beers to forget it, but it did not work.

I agree. I may have sat through one of them but I honestly don't think I've seen any of them all the way from beginning to end.
T1 was good, well made for the time and budget. T2 was excellent, still one of my favorite movies. Hated T3, and Salvation's only salvation was that it was better than T3. Never watched SCC.
T2 had great effects in the sense that they looked "natural". They didn't go over the top with CGI or model work. The fight scenes didn't have the camera angle change 5,000 times a second requiring real stunt work and choreography. Linda Hamilton nailed that role {and looked way better than in T1} Arnold was (seemingly) at the top of his game. Young John Conner seems older than the 10 he should be at the time though.
Sure, I'll see the new one, but I don't have high hopes. Too much time travel really messes with a story. Let it be.
I didn't like t3 as a result of the unrealistic vehicles driving themselves bulle36m3. Aside from the lack of realism in terms of physics, I really like these movies.
Salvation was something but it left me wanting. I can't put my finger on what it was missing.
I will watch it, for nothing more to see the rebooted-ness.
I think the "liquid metal" terminator in T2 kinda ruined the later movies, because every terminator after that has to be like that. You can't go backwards, since technology doesn't go backwards. It makes every bad Terminator from then on a copy of the same thing, takes away the newness of the movie. Makes me wonder how the old, steel skeleton Ahnold can continue kicking new liquid Terminator ass.
I agree that Hollywood can't make a new movie to save it's ass. There's a few good ones every year that usually wind up overlooked, and the few shining stars always wind up getting sequelled so many times it ruins the legitimacy of the first one. I really liked Avatar, but I think making two and three would just cheese up the first one.

“What is this I don’t even” is a popular catchphrase used on message boards in response to a post so shocking or stupid that you’re left absolutely speechless.
This trailer had me pretty interested until the bus scene. And then. at the end, with Arnold flying into a helicopter like a torpedo? I don't see myself watching this in a theater.

What's this, the movie T3 should have been?
And why is it named after my scantool?

I dug Salvation big-time. Actually saw it in theater twice.
The end was dumb from a technical perspective, so I just stop watching before that point.

Actually I was probably out of it before then but that really sticks in my mind.
He didn't do that, he used the NES-looking hand controller, which I thought was atrocious from a usability perspective. And what was with bouncing the rev limiter on upshifts?
Any time there was automated equipment that was designed for a human operator, I always figured that this was simply due to Skynet not bothering to re-invent the wheel. In the months/years before Skynet became sentient, the military had been turning existing airframes into unmanned drones, who's to say this didn't translate to other equipment? Kill all humans first, then worry about redesigning everything.

I don't know about you, but if i've just hijacked some freakshow freddy krueger nightmare on elmstreet 4 lookin bike with a super scope for forward controls, I'm gonna screw some stuff up. Damn thing starin' at me and stuff....
At least he didn't try and grow his breasts to comical proportions to get out of a ticket.

You know what? If they'd have left that in, and changed a few other things, T3 might have been enjoyable in a Robocop self-parodizing sort of way.
Original Robocop not takes itself too seriously remake Robocop.
