Mrs. VCH and I could use a laugh. We've watched most of the old Steve Martin and Robin Williams routines. We love old comedies (think "A Philadelphia Story" - circa 1940). Got any recommendations for comedians to watch via the Tube of You?

I find the Craig Ferguson compilation clips of him flirting with guests always make me laugh.

Iliza Schlesinger was really funny in her early Netflux specials. Avoid the later stuff

Tony Papa has a great special on Netflix currently.

I like John Mullaney's early stuff too.

I’m a big fan of Bo Burnham, but he may be an acquired taste.

Jeff Dunham, Gabriel Iglesias, and John Pinette(RIP) crack me up every time.

Edit:  there are a ton of Carol Burnett Show skits on YouTube.  https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9IUSM4EKcRI

Bill Cosby of course.

There was a special in the early 90s on HBO with Whoopi and Billy Connolly that was a riot

Lewis Black, the white album

Joe Rogan, Tom Segura, Bert Kreischer, Jim Gaffigan, Dave Chappell, Kathleen Madigan, and Bill Burr.

Most of the above have stuff on Netflix or Amazon or both.

If you dont know Bert Kreischer's The Machine story, do yourself a favor find it. Its about 13 minutes. He can be pretty crass but that story is ridiculous.

Try it here, very not safe for work or kids:

Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Steven Wright, Mitch Hedberg, Sarah Silverman.

The Seinfeld Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee thing is good, though, not always side splitting.

I think back to Jerry Seinfeld's statement about George Carlin after Carlin's death. I'll paraphrase it:

Get some comedians together brainstorming ideas, and it's only going to be a few minutes before someone says, "Yeah, Carlin already did that."

Go to the master.
