Great game! Go Hawks! I wonder how long Chrysler can go with "Imported for America" when they are owned by they Italians. The Dodge Dart based on an Alfa platform does seem all American to me.

I was flipping channels and saw that one. My wife went out for band ades and I made her pick up a bag. Made me want some.
Win for Pistachio!

Thanks a lot, I still haven't seen last weeks.

Yeah it was. I still watched the game... lifts close at 4:30
(actually taken Saturday AM)
I personally enjoyed the K900 add with Lawrence Fishburn as Morpheus. The bull one Chevy did was mildly entertaining. The rest kinda sucked. The game was horrible. Stopped watching after the first 30 seconds of the second half.

Oops! Um, SPOILER ALERT, heh.

Breadboards, resistors, soldering irons, etc. And if you have kids under the age of 15, the woman in the Chevrolet Cancer commercial played the mom on "Suite Life Zack and Cody" -Rob
It looks like I'm not the only one here who thinks the Radio Shack add was a very well executed ad to deliver precisely the wrong message. I was just a kid in the '80s, but it seems to me like that was the era where Radio Shack actually knew what it was doing.
The modern Radio Shack has almost no electronic components, no computers, way fewer toys, and is pretty much trying to be a cell phone store. They've missed the whole "Maker" thing that they'd have been a natural to capitalize on. The Onion said it best.
Instead of sending the '80s packing in a DeLorean, they need to be hauling them back in Optimus Prime's trailer.
Count me in with the others that were annoyed that the Radio Shack commercial wasn't about bringing BACK the focus they had in the 80's (even if I was tickled to see a DeLorean in it... wonder if I know the owner...). Having all their actual components restricted to a few cabinets and the employees not knowing their ass from a transistor has meant I've set foot in a Radio Shack like twice in the last 5 years- both times looking for something for a family member and not for myself...
edit: Apparently the DeLorean was one of DMC California's cars
Radio Shack blows.
I went in not too long ago looking to snag desoldering wick, a 10k 5w pot, and a hearing aid looking battery for my digi-micrometer.
They had zero of the three. They did have a lot of cheapo RC cars and phone chargers though... you know, in case there aren't already three walmarts in your town where you could get those along with all your other useless junk needs.
Sometimes I feel like I live on a different planet... I liked the Chrysler ad. It reminded me of classic ad copy frmo decades ago. I can't wait to see the transformers movie. And the game was incredible. I'm originally from the Seattle area (spent the first 35 years of my life there) and it was great to see a team that was so bad for so long absolutely dominating a championship level opponent. So my home team won this year, my adopted home team won last year... I'm good with that.
My favorite line all evening, though, was from a friend of mine at half time:
Coach: Peyton, have a Snickers.
Peyton Manning: Why, Coach?
Coach: 'cause you play like Eli when you're hungry...
Radio Shack will cease to exist in the next 3 years tops. They will declare bankruptcy.
That Chevy truck Bull commercial was stupid. The message is if you think you are a stud buy a Chevy.
Bud Light commercial: Our beer still sucks ass, so we made a cool new bottle.
Go Daddy as always spends some money on something fairly stupid.
Dodge/Dylan commercial a dud as well. Go Italy?
Maserati? WTF were they thinking? Is Joe 6 pack gonna run out and buy a Maserati now? They wasted their money.
This was the year of celebrity sell outs: Kia/Matrix fishburne, Bono/Bank of America, Bruce Willis/whatever car he was pitching, Arnold appearing in a Belgian beer ad, the blond and the illegal israeli soda maker, Bob Dylan, etc.
Doritos commercial, Colbert pistachio commercial and the fact that Tim Tebow has a sense of humor all made me laugh.
Thank god there was no talking stock trading baby finally. That kid must've grown up by now.
I dislike those transformer movies with a passion. My wife likes them and was excited to see there was a new one. I'd rather hit myself in the head with a hammer. I find them tedious - I want to fast forward everytime there is a giant robot fight. I get it, they are big and break a lot of stuff when they fight. Zzzz. Same goes for any movie that has blank-man for the name. I hate the superhero movies Ironman, spiderman, superman, batman, even the Avengers....how can they really be on Spider Man 2 when this must be the 5th one or so? Spider Man wasn't even a good part of the Electric Company back in the 70's.

Is there any movie you DO like? You've listed all the entertaining movies I enjoy.
I'm kind of intrigued by this new Captain America movie.....as I liked the first Captain America movie the best out of all the recent Marvel ones.

Trollhunter. Everybody loves Trollhunter.

I just watched the trailer a little bit ago. Looks very intriguing. I am a fan of Ironman, mostly because RDJ seems to be playing himself and does a phenomenal job of it!
I learned that if your world view is outrageously simplistic, Axe cologne is for you…”If you’re a Tool, you’ll appreciate Axe.”

Bhahaha…nicely played sir!

I'd agree with an honorable mention to Jag, the Chevy bull commercial and the Kia/ Matrix commercial.

I do not even like football and I have to ask how these were the "best of the best"
Chris_V wrote: And the game was incredible.
I fail to see how anybody who actually likes football could think that game was incredible. That was, easily, the worst game I've seen in recent memory, including high school football games.

Simple, if you don't care about either team, you found the blowout lacking. If you liked Denver, you found the game horrible, if you liked Seattle and knew how dominant they could be finally after years of disappointment, you found the game quite exciting and satisfying. I'm from Seattle (spent the first 35 years of my life there) and remember when the only teams that did well from there were college teams, Now we have a Pro team that actually plays well and people like you E36 M3 all over it because you don't like a one sided game. Well, Denver could have made it a close game, but they didn't. Not Seattle's fault or the leagues.
Yeah, as a Denver fan that was painful. I don't mind losing a good game, but that was just terrible. I think the problem was that Seattle was perfectly prepared for Denver's strong points, and just shut them down. Then add in some choking and a very high profile whoopsie in the first 12 seconds and you have an ugly game. Manning actually set the record for the most completed passes in a Superbowl, but they finished every series with a turnover that was - likely as not - returned for a touchdown. Sheesh. You can't be a football fan and say you enjoyed that.
My reaction to the Radio Shack ad was "you know, the 80's actually WORKED for you guys, maybe you should go back to that." Who else was in the battery club?
The "Imported from Detroit" ads continue to be retarded. "We lead the world", shot of an Autobahn sign. Umm, might want to check that. All the other flag waving, cancer-having ads left me ample time for guacamole refills.
