Windows XP for netbook.
I have no idea what I have done but.... Normally, I would expect in the lower left hand of the screen to have the Start button, followed by open programs, ending with the clock.
Instead, my computer is showing the start button at the top right of the screen, a list of open programs listed vertically at the extreme right of the screen and the clock at the bottom right of the screen.

Seems my tool bar has changed from being at the bottom of the screen in a horizontal fashion and is now at the right of the screen in a vertical fashion.

How do I fix this?

Click on an unused portion of the bar and drag it back down to the bottom.

I love this place!
That worked perfect.
I had tried that earlier but it was only dragging the toolbar half across the page. I guess I was not applying enough downward motion.
My screen appearance is now back to normal and I have learned something new today. Mom would be proud.

Thanks Dave,
John

Then right click on the toolbar and select "Lock the Toolbar" and it won't do that again.

Ahh, yes. I see that the lock was not on.
I one minute I learned how to fix it and just moments later learned how it happened and how to prevent it.
Again, this place is great.
