The most powerful moter I have ever owned has 200 HP. At that is the 3.4 liter moter in my Minivan.
I feel so ashamed.
I had a 180 hp VW New Beetle Turbo S, but it was heavy and stuff. I had a Fiero but it has like 150 hp new, it was tired and worn out. I had a 924S but again, aged 150 hp at best.
My 93 Senoma Pick up doesn't have enough power to get out of it's own way.
My next car, and soon, will be something with a V8 in it. I ride my bicycle to work, so MPG is not a huge concern for me. Maybe a mustang. I have always loved the look of a clean Fox body Notch back.
Anyway, my wife's minivan is more powerfull than anythin I have owned.

Your wife must be pleased that you dont have to use large horsepower numbers to compensate for having a tiny....
My wife owns more cylinders than I do
She even equals me in turbos!
Remember this mantra:
"It's more fun (and less chance of getting in trouble) to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow."
I live this every time I switch from my Mini Cooper to my wife's Charger. I can wring the Mini out and still not be dangerous. Wringing out the Charger means I'm doing triple digits in less than 10 seconds.......

hmmm... I now own my 1st v8. a 4.0 Northstar. 250hp
but, my 50hp .5 liter bike is a LOT faster and gets much, much better mileage.
Hmmm.... you know, I've never owned a car with the horsepower of my wife's 170hp Volvo. Driven plenty. Never bought one.
Hmm 240 hp is the most i have driven regularlly, 155 the most in a car i have owned.
Highest HP of any car that I've owned? Likely less than 200 hp. I'd really have to look it up. My least powerful vehicle (or second, I'd also have to figure out what kind of power an '85 chevy sprint has) is also my quickest, and most frugal.
Edit: A quick search says 197 HP on my 350 SLC. My Vstrom DOES have more power than the Sprint did.
Least powerful? Probably my 76 Spitfire, or one of the air-cooled VWs. I think I've owned a lot of sub-100hp cars.
Well my truck is around 300 hp, my 323 around 80. I can throw the mazda around all over the place, try that with the truck and I'd be upside down and sideways.
Most horses I've ever driven was 500hp.
Hmmm. The Trooper is rated at 195, probably the most HP I have owned. I had the old '71 2bbl 318 Charger way back when, that one might have been higher but I doubt it. Least powerful? Like Baxter, a Spitfire. Mine was a '68 1300 with the dual port head and twin SUs, I think it was rated at 67 or 68 HP.
Best HP to weight I have owned? Bike: Seca 750 Yamaha. Car? The Abomination.
Most horsepower I've driven? An original AC Cobra 427. Or possibly my dad's old '56 'Vette, that one had a 334? CI small block that was stupid powerful. It never got dynoed so we never did find out what kind of power it made. I do know that at 65 MPH in third, if you nailed the throttle it would smoke the rear tires.
Scariest thing I have ever driven? Bike: a early GPz 750 turbo with monster turbo lag. Car: a Ferrari Dino. Mostly because it was not only stinkin' fast but it cost more than the house I was living in at the time.
'65 F100 208 hp
'02 Subaru Forester 165hp
'87 325i 168hp
'79 Austin Mini 37hp
Nope, not compesating for anything here.
I've never actually dyno'd any of my cars.....

Fastest car I've ever ridden in was a 600HP to the wheels mid 80s 911 Turbo....made my stock 207HP 85 911 feel like a slug. Highest HP car I currently own is my 71 Chevelle 454 SS at 365HP. The lowest HP car I own is probably the 91 Capri XR2 with 135HP. Everything else I have pretty much falls between the Mercury and Chevelle power wise.
I happen to own right now the most powerful car I ever bought.. my 900 turbo. All 185hp. Even my 911 had only around 140hp.
The most powerful car in our family/ever owned? Wifes stage 2 WRX. I daily a stock worn motor Miata. Weakest ive owned would be a tossup between a spitfire and my first car-1977 Honda Accord CVCC. Whopping 58hp in that one. Most powerful driven was a Viper GTS we rented in Vegas, that thing was a hoot!

Most powerful for me would be my mostly stock E36 M3. It used it's power well, too.
Most torque would be my Land Rover.
Least power and torque is my MGA. 80 furious HP when the planets aligned enough to have everything just properly in tune.

Most thus far in life was probably my 95 vette at about 300hp
Currenly I drive a smart so HP is not the priority I guess.
But I do have a 400hp+ project in the works so I gotta remember what torque and acceleration are like again.
Hey Eric, GTO's seem to be pretty cheap around the area right now. There's even one setup for autox f/s in the area(or at least, it was available a while back), the price was a bit higher though.
I got to drive a 600+ HP AMX once (it went 10.30's in the 1/4 mile, do the math). Driven plenty of 400+HP cars (new GTO's, AMX's, modded Mustang's, etc).
I've owned 2 modded 300BHP cars (the cop car and my old Turbo Coupe) and one stock 300HP car (Javelin 360 4Bbl). Most power-to-weight was definitely my FC RX-7 GXL with a street-ported 13B.
There's more power on engine stands in my garage then actually in my cars...

The lowest hp that I've owned was the '85 4 banger Ranger.
The highest hp that I've ridden in (didn't want to risk driving) was my friends street legal 1100+ hp '93 Lightning with a turbocharged 598ci engine....the Grinmobile.
The majority have been in the 220-300hp range.

Lowest HP would be my first car, '74 Mustang II. It was pretty fun, but I'd like to see what it was like when it was new, before my brother ragged it out.
Highest HP would have to be the 2000 F150 SuperCrew.
Currently, I'm thinking the Sienna has more HP than the Contour, but the 'tour is a lot more fun!
With the exception of a brief fling with an E36 M3, my wife's Mazda 6 wagon is the fastest (in a straight line) and most powerful car I've ever owned.
I honestly believe that anything much over 200hp in a street car is a waste. All 3 of my current vehicles ('96 Miata, Focus SVT, and 3 litre Ranger) are sub-200hp.
I agree with you. I can get into lots of trouble with the 140hp in my ti just fine. It also allows me to merge into traffic and accelerate out of dangerous situations just fine.
