Granted that the WWE event was scheduled late in the election season. But both were claimed to be neutral in character.
Yes, but Stewart and Colbert have no relationships with actual canidates. McMahon's Husband now owns the company, runs it, and she was featured numerous times on the shows.

I don't place an inherent higher value over marital relationships vs. ideological differences.
The WWE rally was purportedly organized to shed a "more positive light" on the organization since it has been the target of allegations that attempt to portray Ms McMahon in a (more) detrimental fashion than usual.
Certainly you can paint the McMahon's as liars if you wish. I reserve the right to label them and the cable-guys equally as political opportunists (aka, liars) - and I do!

Lets put it this way.. If Linda thought that the rally would be bad for her campaign she wouldn't have had Vince do it simple as that.
Again, no connection between stewart and any canidate or party. Try to find one, I don't know of one. Sure he has leanings, but he has never(atleast to my knowledge) actually come out and supported one side vs another.
There is a connection between the rally and her campaign. If the rally truly is about the fans, then why are they only holding two inside CT and none elsewhere? Why not one in DC?

Let's put it this way.....if Comedy Central (with a core group of young, "left-leaning" viewers) thought the rally would damage it's (ratings) campaign, Stewart and Colbert would have met resistance.
Not that I (or anyone) should trust Wikipedia, but there's a lot of information that reinforces Stewart's political stance - and he actually has supported one particular side:

There is a connection between the Rally to Restore Sanity and a desire to motivate potential voters. And, why would the DNC have an active recruitment presence there, also. Did they set-up shop on the Mall on 8/28?
Bottom line - I see the McMahons and the Cable Guys as political animals who use whatever means available to advance their positions. I'm not going to use moral relativism when all the players are despicable.

if refering to politicians in ct then yes..
What about clarence thomas his wife and the healthcare reform lawsuit? Should he recuse himself? Can he remain impartial?
