$15K for the pair, both are pretty low miles (for the year) and seem to be in good condition. You don't see them every day anymore.

Sometimes I really wish I didn't love 80's japanese everything as much as I do.
The guy secretly has 15 more out back.......starquest owners never have 2 perfectly running cars without a fleet of parts cars.
Those photos look like they were taken in the early '90's. Or at least could have. I'd ask for photos with a current newspaper in the shot just to be sure they are still alive.
I've always liked those cars.
They weren't just lookers, either. The Starion had a bunch of SCCA SS endurance wins and a couple of National Championships.
I always liked the Starion/Conquest styling--much more than the Eclipse. My understanding was they had weak AC units and electrics.
Assuming you had a rolling chassis what would be a good engine upgrade?
I was extremely active in the Starquest community back in the day. I had an 89 Conquest that I swapped a 351-W into (hence the screenname). I never got it running and to this day I regret that. Got rid of the car but still fantasize about how awesome it would have been. I will build another one day, but I'd make it easier and just get a tube frame from like a Latemodel stock car and just drop the body onto that. The suspension and everything was great on the car, but there are NO aftermarket parts or support for them. Everything was super expensive, obsolete, or had to be custom fabricated. The community is great, but VERY grassroots and, for lack of a better word, broke. No one really ever spent money on these cars to fix the problems of parts availability, hence the previously mentioned fleet of parts cars. LOL
The Zero-G project mentioned above is one of the guys from SQC and he's been doing great with that car.
I remember the first time I saw one. In the Navy stationed in upstate NY around 1986-87, and it was a display car in a local mall. I stared at it for easily 15 minutes thinking "I like this"!

Very true. I've never seen a factory set on any car i've liked better.
15k is a bit much tho. Nice cars when they run right. Buddy just scrapped 3, one which had a dodge 318. A shame about the rust issues.
A friend of mine had 6 of these at one time. One running one and 5 parts cars. Absolutely my favorite car of the 80's, but the car was riddled with electrical problems.
