By far, the best tow vehicle I have seen to date was an old firetruck (when they were topless) that had been converted to carry cars. It actually had a roof and sleeper cab built onto it though. Additionally, it had a double-decker rack for storing cars. Tires could be stored for all 3 cars that it could hold right in easy reach at the track. To top it off, it could haul a pretty stout trailer for one more car--totaling four. Pretty neat. I think it was made in the 50s and then converted a short time ago.
