Well I've got the mercedes up and running good enough to do some service on my pickup truck. I went to get a couple of things like coolant, a thermostat, and spark plugs. Well when I was getting coolant I noticed the chemical companies are starting to go to 50/50blends in gallon jug. This means a 1 gallon jug of premixed coolant contains 1 half gallon of chemical and 1 half gallon of water. The cost of the premixed coolant is only a few dollars cheaper per gallon say 13$ verses 15$ for undiluted coolant. This means instead of 1 bottle of coolant and 1gallon of distilled water, you have to buy two gallons of premixed coolant. A coolant change would cost 16$ undiluted stuff verses 26$ diluted, and the only difference is 1$ worth of distilled water. Tricky bastards!
Just wanted to pass this on hopefully it helps someone!
In the grocery store you have the option of buying "pre-cooked rice" in little microwavable tubs at only about 1000% the cost of "rice".
People are lazy. Imagine what filler or primer that sands itself could be sold for.
Was that the long life stuf?

Invent a filler and primer that will sand itself and I will happily pay stupid amounts of money for it. For that you would deserve to be a rich man.
Edit: The 50/50 mix stuff is a rip off though. It probably costs them a lot less to make and they sell it for more. Of course it's still cheaper than bottled water.
I just wish that the manufacturers of coolant would wake up to the idea of small(er) jugs/bottles. If I have a need for pretty much any coolant, I have no choice but to buy a huge, multi-gallon jug. Oil used to come in the same kind of jugs (maybe it still does?) but at least you can buy oil by the quart....why not coolant?
I almost made the same mistake, thinking with my wallet and not my head. "Waiiiiit a minute? 50/50 blend? What the berkley is this? I can get a whole gallon of water for $.72."
Come on, you know you spend more than that at Starbucks every week.

You can buy liter bottles of G012
I would pay any amount of money for self sanding primer. You're sitting on a goldmine motomoron!
The 50/50 is for idiots like my son on law who was using straight anti freeze.
I will admit to buying one jug of 50/50 intentionally. I wanted one that was different from all the rest and marked as being 50/50. I guess because I wasn't smart enough to grab a marker and just write 50/50 on it. Now when I have a batch of mixed it always goes in that jug and all of the other jugs are coolant only.
I learned this weekend that Prestone Brake fluid jugs look like Prestone Coolant jugs when you're tired and just want to fill the damn car with coolant.
Let me tell you, the guy buying the 50/50 was the smart one in this case.
I flushed THAT radiator pretty fast.
Nathan
I bought the 50/50 once when on a roadtrip and needed to top up the radiator. I could have used the regular coolant, but 50/50 was all the stop and rob had
Can I get some self buffing paint to go with that self sanding primer? (an self sanding body filler to cover the self welding metal patches...) oh wait, these products do exsist, they require a fat checkbook to activate
