To me it is my 81 GTV6, girls and just about everyone else my 64 Spit.
Despite being a giant beater i'd have to say my 85 MR2 was one of my favorites. It helped that at the time my wife drove an 86 MR2 and we both worked at the same place. When we'd leave for the night we'd cruise them side by side on the way home, she thought i was crazy, i thought it was awesome.
For other people my 78 Datsun 510 Wagon seemed to be a favorite.
The coolest one i've owned is one of the cars I currently own.
'88 332is. OBD-I S52 putting down over 230whp + coilovers/sways/adj end links/and BBK with 4 piston wilwoods up front. Just need to slap a new headgasket on it.

Every car I've ever owned was cool. Or at least I thought so.
'33 Plymouth Coupe, but had to sell it when wifey said "Guess what?" Next cool car was a '73 boat tail Riviera. Not real quick off the line but that 455 had LOONNGG legs. '84 S-10 PU with a sweet 355 SBC in it. Never could get the hydraulic clutch to work right, but had lots of fun with punks in their 5.0 Mustangs. Coolest all time- '74 260Z. Would love to have another.
Although I love my current fleet, I'll always miss the MK1 Scirocco I sold a few years ago. The current owner keeps threatening to bring it to the challenge, but I think he's just teasing me at this point.
Although the ladies do love the AMC Eagle!

It's no tease! I promise, it will make it to the challenge one of these years!
I loved my rb midget we ran out of gas on track at sebring on track tour back in 1990 s still got it in junk yard , remember having picnic in turn 5 /6 on trunk lid
Being a young'un in the Snow Belt I've never owned anything quite as cool as some of your cars, partly because they would rust back to the earth! As to which of my cars I think is coolest, I'm torn between my FC RX-7 and my Mazdaspeed3.
On the one hand, I have a tossable, rotary-powered, RWD, easy to hop-up quirkmobile that's needed a lot of attention but never failed to get me where I need to go. It also had the most motorsports potential of any car I've owned until the MS3 came along.
On the other hand, I have a blisteringly fast and very practical hatchback that's also easy to hop-up. Hmm...
For a quick answer, My '88 MR2 SC. Bought in 2001 for $3,000 w/68k miles on it off the budget lot of a small town Ford Dealership. On the test drive it shook violently at all speeds. As suspected it was the bald to the cord Euro T/A tires that it had on it. 4 new tires, never another shake. 4 years and 20k miles later I sold it for $4,500
Overall, my best time was when I owned all of the following four at the same time:
'97 Nissan 240sx, daily driver
'90 Miata, Stock autocrosser
'88 MR2 SC
'86 CRX
I still have the Miata. It was my first and true love. It may be possible that owning a Miata back in the early days of Miata was the coolest.
The 240sx left due to the need for more interior room and was replaced with the current Volvo 850 wagon.

I've owned about 40 drivable cars and maybe 10-15 parts cars/hopeless projects. Here are some of the highlights: 1972 Fiat 850 Spider 1960 Fiat-OSCA 1500 twin cam 1967 Pontiac LeMans 1970-something BMW 2002 Challenge car My 1967 Fiat Dino coupe was probable the most exotic, but it wasn't photogenic in the condition I had it in. All of my cars are cool but you can tell me which you think is the coolest.
Of the 8 I have owned probably the coolest is my current.

Back in the 70s, I had a 1974 124 Spider (last year before the monster bumpers). Ferrari Red, black leather interior, real wood dash, Pirelli tyres, etc.
Can you say "Chick Magnet"?
21 (I think)... first Sunbeam Alpine...3rd Jag E Type... 6th Jag Mk X sedan.... since '76 nothing but Honda's (76,86,88,89,93, & 01) most fun the 91 CRX track and auto-x car, coolest the XKE by far (even though it was a total POS) imagine a 19 yr old sailor with a bright yellow '64 E coupe... driving around Norfolk in the late 60's / early 70's

Get lucky much?
Well, I am 21 years old and have owned over 20 cars. I actually believe the current count is up to 25. Lots of neat interesting cars like an Omni GLH, various turbo fireflys/Sprints, an AE86 y0, LS1 powered Camaro, etc.
Having said that, alot of that was flipping cars. But it was VERY rarely that I bought a car without the intent to keep it. But a better example, nicer car, etc always came along.
The "nicest" car I ever owned was my 2004 base model 4 door golf. Slammed, with ballin' 18's y0, a nice exhaust and a nice stereo system. However, it gets the same gas mileage as the 1999 Subie 2.5RS I currently own, and was slower. Weaksauce. It also cost me $3k in cash overall (how much it had depreciated) to sell it one year later. I bought it with 34,000kms on it in 2008, and put over 30,000kms on it in 8 months.
The "coolest" car I ever owned was also the one I owned the longest (3 years) and put countless hours into. I've posted it up before, but for people who haven't seen it:
God damn how I miss that car. I'll have another one though, probably next year :D
