There's a hashtag getting popular - #coronastorytime.  People with costumes that would normally be at conventions and other public events entertaining kids are getting together and readings stories for the kiddos to watch at home.  Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, where we can post videos.

I decided this was right up my alley.  Problem 1) I don't have kids, and don't have kids story books.  And since this social distancing started up I haven't been able to get with friends that might have some.  I didn't feel like spending $ on books I wouldn't need, so I printed off a few short stories I found online.  Figured I'd say the library was closed but found an astromech to print out a few stories.

Problem 2) I wear bifocals and can't read the fine print while wearing my helmet.  berkeley.  Luckily the one story was pretty short, and I could remember the gist of it.  I'm not an actor, I don't belong to the Screen Actors Guild, which is good because it still took a dozen takes to get it right!  (I should have saved an outtake - "and then he...uh... berkeley I was so close!")

But here it is, ready for Oscar nominations!  Here's a Youtube link if you'd rather watch it there - YouTube

And yesterday I recorded and uploaded 15 different personalized greetings for Special Wish families onto Facebook Events as virtual troops, since we can't visit in person.  I just saw this morning we're wrorking with Cincy Children's Hospital to do some kind of recorded messages now.  Whatever we can do.
