), there's a '91 Miata in the Dayton area (Englewood to be specific) that I'm quite interested in. Unfortunately I live 3 hours away in Lexington and don't want to spend an entire day potentially on a fool's errand if it isn't worth the time. It's at the seller's FIL's house and said FIL apparently can't drive it to meet anywhere, so can't even really try and meet up someplace closer very easily.
So, if there's someone nearby who knows a bit about Answers and could check it out for me, I'd be quite appreciative and would be happy to Paypal you some scratch for beer (or car parts ). Thanks!
Anyone up on that area? Miata-specific knowledge not necessarily required- it would be nice for checking out things like which crankshaft nose it has and other Miata-specific problems, but good automotive knowledge to be able to give me an impartial assessment of its condition would be enough.

That's OK- I'm still trying to wrangle everything to the point of being able to arrange a time someone could go look at it, the seller isn't the most responsive (and it won't help that meeting up would have to be arranged with a different person as well). If you know of any other local GRMers (or trusted non-GRMers with the necessary knowledge) I'd appreciate your pointing them my way.
It was looking like there was the chance we'd be able to try and go up tomorrow after a day in Cinci, but some issues with a pet mean we may not get to make the trip. If that doesn't work out, I may have to resort to renting a car one-way to drive up early Saturday morning, get the car, and drive it back home.
