I'm hearing about this CarPro CQuartz stuff. Supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread. Anybody use it? Got an opinion? Wanna share?
Thanks!

Ceramic wax coating? No personal experience, but my ex- has applied it to a few of her cars with good results. She also has the garage and patience to follow the application requirements to the letter, which for her is a solid Fri-Sun weekend, including a wash, old wax strip, clay-bar, then ceramic application (plus I'm sure a few other steps I don't know about).
On soft paint exotics or Subaru's I use it. Keeps thw swirls down significantly but paying to have it installed at least locally is stupid money. Most are charging 300-440 for polish and then another 400-500 for application of the CQ.
Depending on the price of the car and the paint options sometimes its just best to 3M clear wrap the darn car after the polish.
Now I do it myself and it runs about 100-150$ a car give or take with the polish + ceramic product and the ETOH that I need and tossing the rags afterwards. Then just use non spotting water of your choice and keep the drying of the car to a minimum and it will look perfect for years.
I bought something similar that I haven't used yet, but I have been told that it's good at resisting dirt and dust (i.e. it rinses off more easily than normal),
and also that if you don't clean the car super-duper well before applying it, it won't stick or something along those lines.
So I believe preparation is key to a successful result, but as I said, I have yet to actually try it out myself :)
My impression is that it's good for dirt and dust, but I'm skeptical that it helps with things like rocks/chips and the like.
IIRC, the current caretaker of the internet's most famous R63 had this done. The pictures looked impressive.
I've had ceramic coating done on several vehicles and am a fan. I also generally do clear bra over the front cap afterwards because, while it does help with durability to a point, it is no substitute for film in protecting against rock chips.
