I posted my motorcycle for sale the other day on craigslist, here is the ad:

I got an email offering a trade for a 68 Merc 250s, I figured they just wanted to do a partial trade so I told them I was not interested but I received an email back saying they wanted to do an even trade if I brought the bike to them. This is the ad:

It doesn't look like a normal scam but would anyone really offer to trade a $4000 merc for a $1500 motorcycle?

Well, that's a $1500 Merc on a good day, so it's probably an even trade to you getting taken. If you're interested in it, tell him to bring the car and title to you.

Tell him to drive the car from Court House to Ashland. If it makes it, maybe it's a decent car.

Why are you selling the bike? I'm always interested to know why people ditch the bikes and go back to cars...especially with fuel prices these days.

Go see it in person. That's a beautiful Benz.

I am selling the bike because I just don't ride it enough and I would like to get an older car to restore. I also have a 73 Suzuki GT250 so I won't be completely bikeless. I am tempted to take a look at the Merc because I have always loved the way they look but I really want a 64-69 mustang.
